Dr. Kia F. Everett is a native Philadelphian. Always excelling academically Dr. Everett graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1990. She then went on to study Criminal Justice at West Chester University; receiving her Bachelor Degree in 1995. Later she pursued a Masters of Human Services degree Lincoln University graduating in 1998. Dr. Everett then received another Masters Degree in Human Services with a concentration in Public Service Leadership at Capella University.
With 20+ years of counseling and therapy experience, Dr. Everett holds a Certificate in Family Life Counseling and has completed Ph.D in Christian Counseling at Grace Bible College and Seminary. She is also certified in Functional Behavior Analysis Consultant, and a licensed Behavior Specialist.
Additionally, Dr. Everett is a Licensed Minister.

Career History
Dr. Everett has worked in Human Services as a Behavior Specialist Consultant and Mobile Therapist for 20 years. Using her professional experience to become an entrepreneur, she is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Finding Your Way Mental Health Urgent Care and Counseling Services. The organization offers individual and group therapy for families and individuals, evaluations as needed, life skills, business development, as well as mental health urgent care services. She is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) and the American Counseling Association (ACA), as well as Christian Counseling Association.
Publications and Training
Dr. Everett wrote her first book in 2005, “My Way, God’s Way or the Highway”, which published and launched at her first book signing on February 27, 2010. She is also the author of "More Than Preaching", a 21st century leadership guide to help leaders who are leading in the 21st Century. She is currently working on several additional books, which will help to strengthen the family system.
Dr. Everett is a skilled facilitator who has completed comprehensive training in Child Abuse Prevention, Leadership, Conflict resolution, Self-esteem, Parenting, Life Skills and Behavior Modification.
